Dress Code

MPVA Dress Code 2025-26

Shirts: Students have two options: polo-style shirt or t-shirts. Three-button polo shirts must be purchased in MPVA colors: white, black, grey, or purple. Polo shirts may be purchased from any store or MPVA PTO. T-shirts may only be purchased from MPVA PTO or from a school organization and not from an outside store. All shirts must fully cover the upper body. All shirts underneath hoodies/sweaters/jackets must follow the MPVA shirt policy. 

Hoodies/Sweaters/Jackets: All outerwear must be MPVA colors (white, black, grey, purple - including shades or combinations of these colors). Clothing may not contain other colors in the logos or designs. 

Winter Outerwear (Cold days from November to February): Heavy coats may be worn in any color but only on cold days from November through February. Beanie-style hats may be worn outside but not in the building. No additional hats or headwear are allowed the rest of the year. 

Pants/Shorts/Skirts: Denim/jeans must be black, blue, or tan. Rips in jeans may only be from the knee and lower. Dress pants must be black, blue, or khaki/tan. Cargo pants must be black, blue, or khaki/tan. Skirts and shorts must be black, blue, or khaki/tan and may not be shorter than three inches above the knee. 

Not allowed: Spandex, dri-fit, velour, soft cotton blends, sweatpants, joggers, leggings, or basketball shorts.

Shoes: All shoes must be closed toe and closed heel. 

Not allowed: slides, flip-flops, sandals, slippers/house shoes, Crocs, Yeezys, or any type of foam runner. 

ID: Picture IDs must be worn and visible on the upper half of the body. 

Note: Parents/Guardians will be called and asked to bring a change of clothes for students who come to school out of dress code. repeated offenses will result in disciplinary consequences.
