✍️ CLUB WITS IS BACK AT MPVA!

Calling all writers, storytellers, poets, and creative minds!

We are excited to welcome Club WITS back to MPVA for another semester! Whether you already love to write or are simply curious about creative writing, Club WITS is a space to create, experiment, find your voice, and grow as a writer alongside a professional WITS teaching artist.

🎤 Something Special This Semester

This semester, students will have the opportunity to work with a slam poet and explore performance poetry, creative expression, and the power of bringing their writing to life!

📝 What Will Students Do?

Throughout the semester, Club WITS students will:

  • Explore different forms of creative writing and poetry

  • Work directly with a professional WITS teaching artist

  • Draft, revise, and polish original pieces

  • Build a personal writing portfolio

  • Create a polished broadside—a publication-ready presentation of an original piece

  • Strengthen their individual writing voice and creative confidence

For students interested in pursuing creative writing at HSPVA or other arts programs, a WITS portfolio can also provide strong writing samples that showcase their creativity and individual voice during the application process.

You do not have to consider yourself a “writer” to join. Curiosity and creativity are enough!

📅 Registration Deadline: September 7

Interested students must register by September 7 to participate.
